It is so exciting to be back for another challenge at the Ink Spot, where there are six great stamp lines in one fun place!

Joy has challenged the design team to come up with a card or project that incorporates Valentine's Day, but that is non-traditional.

For my card I have used an image from Riley and Company called Shoveling Snow Riley.  You can find that HERE.  The sentiment is from Cornish Heritage Farms, and you can find that one HERE.  There.  Not too sappy, and definitely non-traditional! LOL

I would like to add this cards to the following challenges:

Dream Valley Challenges - Valentine's
Craft Your Passion - Anything goes
The Ribbon Girl - Love

Make sure you head on over to the rest of the design team's blogs and see what they have to offer:

HAVE A GREAT WEEK!

No DP? No problem!

As you guys can probably guess it's time for another post for the lovely Dream Valley Challenge!  This week we are challenging you to forego the designer paper, and do a little bit of inking!  NO designer paper!  Well, honestly, I do this more often than not right!?!

Our sponsor for this challenge is Freckled Fawn!  One lucky winner could receive this:

For my card I have done a clean and simple design.  I know, they are kind of my specialty!  It's getting closer to Valentine's Day, so I decided it was time to get a jump on it!

I took a white piece of paper and swiped the pick background directly from the ink pad.  The sentiment was then stamped in black, and the heart was cut from the Cricut basic shapes cartridge.

I would like to add this card to the following challenges:
Blogger Challenge - make your own background
Simply Create Too - Valentine's/use hearts
Delightful Challenges - use hearts
In the Pink - Pink/die cuts

Have a great week, and get on over to Dream Valley to get entered to win that lovely gift!

Meljen's Valentine for Dream Valley

Good morning!  Today at Dream Valley Challenges we are sponsored by Meljen's Designs!  They have given us (the DT) some awesome images to play with!  I have chosen to use String of Hearts for my Valentine's Day Card.  Oh yeah, did I tell you?  The challenge is Valentine's Day!  LOL  I'll get all the info in one of these times!

Here's my card:

I printed this digi large and colored it in with purple Copics.  I found the purple heart gems in my bling box and added some sheer ribbon to the ribbon on the digi.  It's hard to see it, but the dark purple background is dry embossed.  There's also glitter on the swirls and around the hearts, and crystal effects on the middle heart.

Have a great week!

Sweethearts on the Mind at Totally Stampalicious!

If you are looking for the Bugaboo blog hop, please scroll down.

It's challenge time again at Totally Stampalicious!  We are challenging you to start making those Valentines Day cards and gifts!  It's coming right up!  I haven't started making valentines for the kids to take to school yet, but I thought I'd make this type of gift for them to give to their teachers:

I have taken a dark chocolate Lindt candy bar and stamped on it's empty label.  They come without markings if you buy them in a bulk pack!  hehe  Don't you buy your chocolate in bulk!?!  I used my new nestabilities to make the tag, along with the new stamp set Monkey Love that you can find at the Totally Stampalicious store!

I would like to enter this into the following challenges:
Penny Black and More - Love and Hearts
Sentimental Sundays - Ribbon + sentiment
The Squirrel and the Fox - critters
Paper Playtime - tag+sentiment

Have a great day and I hope you play along with us!

Metallic Hearts

I figured I had better get going on some Valentine's Day cards, and the challenges out there are happy to oblige me! I stamped the heart from Stampin' UP's Sketch an Event set on white paper. Used the edge of a pink ink pad with the direct to paper technique on the heart strip as well as the card base. The metallic look was actually achieved by putting aluminum foil through the Cuttlebug Dots embossing folder. I stuck that to the card base with heart brads. Next I layered the patterned paper across the bottom. I also cut out another heart to stick on the side with a pop dot and pink pearls to wind their way to it. It's hard to see, but there is also diamond dust lining the hearts for some more sparkle!

This card qualifies for the following challenges:

Raise the Bar - Hearts
Stampin' for the Weekend - Valentine Theme
C.R.A.F.T. Challenge - Valentine's or Love
Paper Makeup Stamps Blog - Pink and Bling

Thank you all for supporting me and taking the time to leave comments! I appreciate the feedback! Happy Stamping!
