Stampscapes Dream - ABC DT

Hello again and happy Wednesday to everyone!  This is going to be a quick post because it's school vacation and the kids are keeping me hopping!  So far it's been a great week with the kids.  Today we are going to the Christa McAuliffe Planetarium and then the youngest is out for a sleepover...whew....

So it's Wednesday again and we're starting another challenge with the B Team at ABC Challenges!  This week's letter is S is for Sparkle!  That's right, lots of glitter and bling!  Our sponsor is One Stop Card Crafts, and they are offering this:

I have dug out my Stampscapes stamps to make a scene on white cardstock that is run through the big shot with Stampin' Up's top note die.  I love the top note, because it makes the flat panel look very elegant, don't you think?

Stamps: all Stampscapes:  Milky Way lg, Buck, Ledge, Dream sentiment
Paper:  Stampin' Up's white and night of navy
Ink:  Momento Tuxedo Black; all blues are Stampin Up:  Bashful Blue, Bordering Blue, Ballet Blue, Night of Navy; Stampin' Up Whisper White
Other Supplies:  glue pen, glitter, ribbon, colorbox stylus

Here's another picture of the glitter I have added to the stars in the sky and around the top note....

....and more glitter with the shiny silver ribbon!

I am entering this into the following challenges:

Bunny Zoe's Crafts - one for the boys
There She Goes - monochromatic
Woodware USA - die cut (top note)

Have a great day!

CAS Easter House Mouse

Hello!  Quick post today because I want to get back outside and enjoy the warmth and sunshine before the cold weather tomorrow!

Here is a quick set of clean and simple cards that I have made for my children for Easter.  I have used different colors for the eggs and ribbon, because yes, I have a boy and a girl!  I made this card with a couple of challenges in mind.  iCopic Challenge #25 is looking for you to use your copics to color an embellishment.  The ribbon was a white satin that I colored to coordinate with the eggs.

House Mouse and Friends wants an Easter card, and Cards for Men wants an Easter card.  I realize the pink one doesn't count for Cards for Men, but the blue does! :)

Here are the copics I have used on the image and ribbon:

Enjoy your day!

ABC Challenge - R is for Ribbon

Yup that's what we want this week!  There has to be some ribbon on your creation!  The ABC challenge is sponsored by Pollycraft this week.

I have made this cute chest of drawers (tutorial) and matching card.

The image is from Stamp Fairy and is colored with my copics.

Image and mat were cut out using my labels 8 nestabilities.  Aside from the little bow, my ribbon is in the form of ribbon roses on the drawer pulls and as accents on the card.

This is the first time that I have made ribbon roses, and I didn't do to shabby!  I used this tutorial here.  I really like their technique, but I wanted the flowers to be a bit smaller to match the project.  Instead of using the inch ribbon I used 3/8" ribbon.  It seemed to make it harder than it needed to be, but made the roses just the right size for me!

I am entering this into the following challenges:

The Stamping Boutique - handmade flowers
Craft Your Passion - anything goes
Kaboodle Doodles - let's get girly

I hope you have a great rest of the week and are busy crafting with us at ABC!

Dream Valley - Things with Wings

Hello again Crafters!  I just wanted to say thanks for all the lovely birthday wishes I received on Friday!  I passed it relatively quietly as my daughter is still sick.  Good news is that we finally have our car back, and fingers crossed it stays that way!

Our next challenge at Dream Valley is to show us your Things with Wings!  Our sponsor is One Stop Card Crafts.  They have donated this as the prize:

I have made an explosion box (my first attempt!) with white and bashful blue paper and ink from Stampin' Up.

The flowers are made using Stampin' Up set In Full Bloom.  The sentiment on the inside was made using a stamp from Stampin' Up set A Greeting for all Reasons.

The butterflies were punched out and glittered with diamond dust and adhered with the "Ultimate" glue.  The ribbon is from my stash.

I am entering this into the following challenges as well:

By the Cute and Girly - cute and girly
Just Add Ink - box or a bag
SSDS - glitz

Have a great week!
