Altered Tin

Hello again! I know you never see a post from me on a Friday! However with Stamp, Scrap and Doodle Saturdays taking a bit of a rest, I didn't want you guys to be missing my lovely face! Hahaha!

Ok, so I participated in the blog hop over at Moving Along With the Times yesterday, and I came up with a project to go with the challenge! The challenge was anything but a card, and I had been looking for something to do with a tin that I had hanging around.

Here is the before picture:

And here is the after:

Quite a difference huh? I made this for a special two year old whose birthday is coming up. I figure she can put her colored pencils or crayons in it when she crafts! Ha Ha! I'm trying to corrupt her early! :)

I'm afraid I don't have any names to give you for the products I used. All of this came from my neglected stash. It kind of stinks, because I'd really like to know the name of this paper! I love it!

I also entered the tin into:

Have a great weekend!

Yummy Cameo

To all of my wonderful followers I'm sorry that I haven't been around blogging. I have been trying to keep up on the news, but I haven't had time to create in a while. Nothing major, just the normal start of summer craze! I hope to carve out some more time as things settle down.....if they settle down! My son's last day of school is today, so we'll see!

So I was able to squeak this sketch from C.R.A.F.T Challenge in under the wire! I really liked the sketch, but almost didn't get the card done in time! I used this Cameo Sassy Studio Designs. Isn't she beautiful?

And this is the card I made with her!

The cupcakes and yummy sentiment from a clear set called Life is Sweet from Craft Affair. I colored all with the copics and added dimension by using pop dots on the cupcakes. All papers are Stampin' Up.

I entered this card into the following challenges:

Paper Sundaes - Pretty as a Princess
ABC Challenge - x is for xtra dimension

Everyone have a lovely week!

Saturday News

Hi all!!

We are going to have to take a short break over at the Stamp, Scrap and Doodle Saturdays challenge.

Unfortunately our Creator/Challenge Coordinator, Regina, has been without computer/internet for a few weeks now and we have been unable to reach her.

In light of these circumstances, we are going to take a short break and suspend the challenges until she is able to return. We apologize in advance and want to assure all our loyal followers that we will return as soon as possible!

Thanks again for all your support and we hope to return very soon!!

Don't worry, this will hopefully only be a short break, and we hope you all will check back with us at SSDS!

80th Birthday Card

Hello,

Here's a card I whipped out yesterday for my Grandmother's 80th birthday. I used this Bugaboo Stamp by Jodie Mackerell that I bought in rubber from Totally Stampalicious.
I stamped the image in black and colored it with my Copics. All papers are from Stampin' Up: So Saffron, Cool Caribbean, and Pumpkin Pie. The buttons are from my stash!

Isn't the sentiment great?! It definitely got a lot of laughs!

I entered this into these challenges:

SSDS Week 44 - Use a pocket

Hello again Saturday crafters! Today at Stamp, Scrap and Doodle Saturdays challenge blog we are looking for you to use a picket. That means either a pocket card or anything that can "hold" something. Our sponsor is Sweet 'n Sassy, so be sure to check out their cute images! Here's what I made:

This image is called Sassy Cassie. I thought she would be great for a pocket card made to look like a corset! I colored her with my copics and all paper is Stampin' Up. I made a gate fold card and used my crop-o-dile to set the eyelets on either side. I used some black ribbon from my stash and laced it up!

I can't have her jumping out of a cake, but she can be pulled out of a card! hahaha

I entered this into the following challenges:

Crazy 4 Challenges - color combo
Our Creative Corner - Gotcha Cornered (I used a Martha Stewart Punch!)
Stamp Something - Happy Somethings

I hope you have a great weekend!

SSDS Week 43 - Homemade Embellishment

It's Saturday! So that means that it's another DT card for Stamp, Scrap and Doodle Saturdays. This week our challenge is to make a homemade embellishment. Our sponsor this week is Glitz Designs, and they have generously donated a paper pack to the winner!

My homemade embellishment is a bee and flower made from a soda can. To make these I cut the top and bottom off a soda can and rinsed and dried it off. CAREFUL the edges are sharp! The next step is to stamp the image you want onto it in black ink. Once the ink has dried carefully cut out your image and voila a metal embellishment! I put some glue on the flower and used diamond dust on it, and for the bee I used some gold glitter glue.

The images I used were from a Stampin' Up set called In Full Bloom. The designer papers and rhinestone squares are from our sponsor Glitz!

I hope you enjoyed my card and start creating yours to join us at SSDS!

I also used the sketch from Moving Along with the Times and they are having a DT call, so I entered into that challenge!

Froggy Fun

Saw this cute digi from Whimsy Stamps called Beach Baby Jayme and I just had to whip up a card! I colored her with my copics and mounted her on some paper that I got in a pack at my local "discount" store. The flowers I used are felt flowers from Stampin' Up.

I entered this card into these challenges:

Creative Card Crew - Pink and Green
My Time to Craft - Wild Thing
The Pink Elephant - Use Bright Colors
Tuesday Throwdown - Trees and Nature

Ocean Fun

Wow it has been a long time since I have crafted and posted on here! Between spring and planting and illnesses for the past couple of weeks there has been no extra time! I squeezed in a couple hours this morning so here's the first post of the week!

I made this card for 5 challenges! Go me! The sketch is from Truly Scrumptious; Charisma Cardz wants circles; Stamptacular Sunday say Life's a Beach; Paper Sundaes is looking for the Kraft and Blue Colors; and Papertake Weekly just wants some Fun, Fun, Fun!

Ok, so here's the card:

I used the Stampin' Up set called On the Beach. I colored the images with my copics. Chose 3 different blue colored papers and the kraft to go with them. On the lightest blue paper I dry embossed some waves with a cuttlebug border impression plate and then rubbed some not quite navy ink over them to make it stand out.

That's about it! The only thing missing is the nice salty sea breeze! I hope everyone has a nice start to the week!
