Fussy and Fancy Riley

Good morning and welcome to another design team challenge for Riley and Company!  My take on our Fussy and Fancy Challenge is to make a card with some fancy folds!

This card is called a diagonal double pocket card.  I used this tutorial on Splitcoaststampers.

The stamps I have used are all about my serious love for coffee!  I have used How Do I Take My Coffee, Single Coffee Cup and Mister Coffee.  All of these stamps can be found at the Riley and Company Store.

Make sure you head on over to The Ink Spot and be sure to check out the rest of the design team's lovely creations!

Masculine!

Good morning!  Normally you see lots of cards made with a flair that says it's for a woman.  Well, not today!  Today the Riley and Company design team would like to show you some masculine cards!

For my card I have used a Riley and Company image called Tool Time Riley.  You can find it HERE at the Riley and Company store.  There is a great story behind the scraps of paper that I used.  I have to say thank you to my daughter for going to a birthday party and getting some nice paper to make a friend a scrapbook.  I used the coordinated scraps from that to spread across this card.

Check out the design team samples both on their blogs and at The Ink Spot:

It's time for another Riley and Company and Cornish Heritage Farm challenge!  Make sure you check out The Ink Spot, the home of our design team where we have six great stamp lines in one fun place!  This time our challenge is called HUG!

Here's my card:

I have used Funny Bones sentiment called Coffee is a Hug.  You can find it HERE in the Riley and Company Store.  The background I made using a bronze spritzer, and the paper waves came from some scraps I had in my drawer from other projects!

Are you mad for plaid?

Hello again!  Can you believe it's been another two weeks?!  The days are flying by now that it is almost spring.  It's time for another challenge for the Riley and Company and Cornish Heritage Farms design teams.  You can check out our design team projects at The Ink Spot:

This week Kelly has challenged us to use plaid on our cards or projects.  I have to say that I don't have much in the way of plaid, so I made my own background.  I started with a white panel and a blue and red copic marker. I put a red line on the large wedge edge of the blue copic to get that "red in blue" look.  Afterward I accented that with the full red using the thin side of the marker.

The image that I used is a digi from Cornish Heritage Farms and it is called Skateboarder.  You can find it in the CHF store HERE.

I'm so excited!  I am hosting the challenge for my teammates over at The Ink Spot!

I have challenged the design team to make a winter scene using either Riley and Company stamps, or Cornish Heritage Farm stamps.

Here is my card:

I have used Cornish Heritage Farm stamp Fir Tree Winter Scene.  You can find that HERE.  I sponged using three different shades of blue, and then added some glitter to the "snow."

Make sure you head on over to the blog and check out the rest of the design team blogs and see their winter scenes.  They really have outdone themselves!

Have a great week!

It is so exciting to be back for another challenge at the Ink Spot, where there are six great stamp lines in one fun place!

Joy has challenged the design team to come up with a card or project that incorporates Valentine's Day, but that is non-traditional.

For my card I have used an image from Riley and Company called Shoveling Snow Riley.  You can find that HERE.  The sentiment is from Cornish Heritage Farms, and you can find that one HERE.  There.  Not too sappy, and definitely non-traditional! LOL

I would like to add this cards to the following challenges:

Dream Valley Challenges - Valentine's
Craft Your Passion - Anything goes
The Ribbon Girl - Love

Make sure you head on over to the rest of the design team's blogs and see what they have to offer:

Animal Antics at the Ink Spot!

Welcome to a new week!  For me this is the first day of the week because my job allowed me the holiday off.  It was a much needed day to play catch up around the house.  I finally got the rest of the holiday decorations packed away and the floors swept and the groceries shopped for.  Phew!

To start off my week I was lucky to have Kelly challenge The Ink Spot design team to make a card with an animal on it.  Extra points if it is funny!  How did I do?

For this card I have used Ice Fishing Riley and Percy from the Riley and Company Stamp Line.  I have also put that together with a sentiment called I Swear It Will Be Funny from the Funny Bones Stamp Line.  The background was made from my paper scraps using a technique called Bargello that I found on Splitcoaststampers.  I really like how it comes out, and it is super easy to make.

Splurge on your time and make sure you head on over to the rest of the DT blogs, and check out their projects:
Frances          Heather       Steph       Joy
 Kelli             Monica          Sandye

Also make sure you like us on Facebook to keep up with the new happenings!

I would like to add this card to the following challenges:
Crafting From the Heart - anything goes
Craft Your Passion - anything goes
Card and Scrap - blue and white

Have a great week!
