Christmas in July at Riley and Company

It sure is hard to think of Christmas at a time when the sun is shining, the birds are chirping, and the bats are swinging!  I have been very busy lately with my kids' baseball and softball teams.  You probably get tired of hearing me say so, but they are awesome!  Both of my kids have won their state tournaments!  What great groups of kids they all play with!

So back to Christmas....I have to say this was a challenge for me (thanks Jackie!) to think of snow and gifts right now, but all of the stamps at Riley and Company sent me some inspiration!

I have used Merry Christmoose Riley Clear Set that you can find HERE at the Riley and Company Store.  The sentiment is from Christmas Words Set 2.

I made this card using a Sizzix die that sure makes it easy to fabricate a swing card.  By the way, do you know how hard it is to photograph a swing card????  Oh well, at least I got flats of the back and front of the panel!

Make sure you had on over to the blog and then to the other design teams sites to check out their creations.

Celebrate Summer with Riley and Company!

Hello!  Is everyone enjoying their summer?  My kids have been making it a busy one with their various sport teams.  I am hoping to get off of my crutches soon and take the kids to the lake for some swimming!

In the mean time we are celebrating summer on the Riley and Company blog.  Sandye is our host this time around and she has challenged us with a summer theme.  Check out her inspiration on her blog!

I am letting my "hope" for fun show by making my card with Riley Waterslide, that you can find HERE in the Riley and Company Store.  I colored it with copics and used crystal effects to make the water gleam.  The card is made using a technique called the Bargello technique.  I used THIS tutorial from Splitcoaststampers.

I would like to add this card to the following challenges:
Eureka Stamps - vacation
Markerpop - anything goes
The Crazy Challenge - my summer vacation

Make sure you check out the rest of the design teams' creations!  Have a great week!

Gus Baseball

Happy Summer!  I have finally finished with work for the summer, and like every eager child I broke myself on the first day of vacation!  Yup, tore a muscle in my calf.  Luckily I can still drive, but I am totally not digging the crutches!  GRRRR

Oh well, at least I am home right?  At Dream Valley we are having another challenge: Inspired by a Song/Movie/Book.  I have chosen a great summer movie, A League of Their Own.  For the stamp I have used Bugaboo stamp - Gus Baseball.  A clean and simple card on kraft cardstock.  Gus was stamped and colored on white with copics, then cut out.

Hey, did I mention that our sponsor is Crafty Sentiments Designs?  They are giving one random winner 3 images!  Sweet!

I would like to add this card to the following challenges:

Pile it On - outdoor fun
Crazy 4 Challenges - summer/winter

Have a great week, and don't hurt yourself!
