Yup, it was even fun the second time around!

You guessed it!  Another corset card!  I had so much fun the first time around, that I had to come up with a different combination of embossing and colors.  That's the beauty of this simple design, there are multiple ways you can decorate it!  This time I have made it a more vintage feel with the swirls and purple ink and ribbon.

I'm making this for my design team post for ABC Challenges.  This week we are on X is for Crossing Ribbons!  So if you have ribbon on your card, and you can make it cross, then we want you to upload with us!  Our sponsor this week is One Stop Card Crafts.  Make sure you check them out!  Awesome stuff!

I am entering my card into the following challenges:

The Crazy Challenge - Beautiful Women
Karen's Doodles - perfect purples

Itsy Bitsy Teeny Weeny Yellow Polka Dot....Corset?

Today at Dream Valley Challenges we would like to see you use ribbon.  That's it pretty simple!  Our sponsor this fortnight is Crafty Ribbons!  They have donated this wonderful prize:

I found an awesome corset template while browsing blogland.  If you are interested you can find it here.  I just followed the easy instructions, added my own colors and personal touches, and this is what I came up with!  I hope you enjoy.

I am going to enter this into the following challenges:

House Mouse and Friends Monday Challenge - GDT #2!

This week at House Mouse and Friends the challenge is "Here Comes Summer."  We'd like to see your summer projects, and don't forget to use a House Mouse, Happy Hopper or Gruffies stamp!

I have used the House Mouse stamp called Frog Floating.  I have colored it with copics numbers:  E11, E18, E35, 100, G17, YG03, B00, B91.

The card base is a dark blue that I have done some faux stitching on.  I have made some die cut circles and cut them out and distressed to make lily pads.  The pink lily pad flower was made from some flowers pulled apart from flowers that I got from a local craft store.

I am entering this card into the following challenges:

Hooked on Crafts - anything goes and a DT call
Just Add Ink - just add some coloring in

Thanks so much to the Design Team at House Mouse and Friends for having me on as a guest designer!  I had lots of fun!

ABC Challenge - W is for Wedding

That's right May flowers bring June brides, so we want to see your wedding creations at ABC Challenges!  Our sponsor this week is Sugar Nellie / Funkykits!  They have some great products, so make sure you check them out!

For my wedding card I have used the Bride digi from Sassy Studio Designs.  I colored her with my copics:  E000, E00, E11, R22, E93, E18, E35, B00, B95.

The paper was a double sided one I got at a local craft store.  I just cut it down and flipped one over, and then added a ribbon and bow at the seam.  A piece of pink paper from my scrap box was used behind the image and some faux stitching was added.  The last step was a pearl for her hair and some more around the edges.

I am also adding this card to the following challenges:

Stampin' Royalty - photo inspiration
Hooked on Challenges - anything goes + DT call

I hope you have a great rest of the week, and don't forget to join us in our challenge at ABC!

Dream Valley Challenge #9 - Father's Day

Hello!  Father's Day is coming, so we'd like you to show your appreciation for the men in your lives and then link it up at Dream Valley!  We have two sponsors this fortnight:

We were given some digis from Karen's Doodles to play with, and I have chosen Time to Relax.

I have colored this image with my copics, layered some paper and added some faux stitching to the panels.  The sentiment is a free digi I got from the Creative Cottage last year.  I cut those out using the nestabilities circles.

There are lots of Father's Day challenges out there, so I have chosen a few to add this to:

Crazy 4 Challenges - Masculine Card

Have a great week and don't forget to play at Dream Valley!

House Mouse and Friends Monday Challenge!

YEAH!  I have been waiting to let you all know that I have been chosen as a guest designer for the month of June for House Mouse and Friends Monday Challenge!  I'm very excited to be given this opportunity!  I love House Mouse stamps!  There's quite the variety to choose from, as the mice are always getting into mischief! lol

So the challenge this fortnight is Jewels/Jewelry.  The design team has made some awesome cards for this one!  Make sure you check them out here!  For my card I have used lots of pearls!

The image I have used is called Mouse Bounce.  I have colored it with my copics, and have added pearls to the pin heads.  I decided on the red and black combo to match the pin cushion, and then just made some layers!  This was my first time attempting to use my punch set to do some sewing.  I think that it came out ok, but I think that I should have used smaller "stitches."  Oh well!  Live and learn!

I am entering this into the following challenges:

Cute Card Thursday - embellish your main image
Fab 'n Funky - What'eva
Craft Your Passion - Anything Goes
Cupcake Craft Challenge - Things with Tails

Have a great week, and don't forget to join us at House Mouse and Friends Monday Challenge!

V is for Variety of Embellishments

Hello and happy Wednesday to all you bloggers!  It's starting to feel like summer outside!

Today at ABC Challenges the letter is V.  V is for a variety of embellishments.  We would like to see all sorts of embellishments on your project!  This weeks challenge is being sponsored by Stamp Fairy. Be sure to check out the store because there are so many cute whimsy digistamps for all sorts of projects!   They have also given us some digis to work with, and I have used Linda Fairy 4.

I have colored the image with my copics and cut it out using a circle nestabilities.  I then layered that panel on a small doily (which has been sitting in my embellishment box FOREVER!), and added some black pearls to the doily and a white pearl on her bow.  The background  I made on a white sheet folded in half.  I did some two step stamping using the Petal Prints set from Stampin' Up.  The top layer (black) of the stamping I heat embossed.  I also added some ribbon that I pleated.

I am entering this into the following challenges:

Ribbon Carousel - anything goes
Woodware USA - use a forgotten embellishment (doily)

Have a great rest of the week, and when I come back I will have some AWESOME news!
