My last post before Christmas!

Good morning!  I hope everyone has finished their shopping and are done being busy little wrappers, and ready to enjoy Christmas!  I am finished the first part, but still have some wrapping to do...I am so ready for some family time.  Exciting!

This is our last challenge at Riley and Company until after Christmas.  If you get some new goodies from under your tree, break it on out and play along!  Kelly has challenged us to use non-traditional colors to make a Christmas card.  Here's what I did:

Sneak Peek Day 4

Good morning!  It's time for sneak peek number four for the Riley and Company December release!  The new release will be this Thursday December 11th at 10pm EST! That's tomorrow night, eek!  I'm so excited!  I just know you will love this release as much as I do!

Remember, all new stamps being released will coordinate very well with all existing Riley and Company and Funnybones stamps.  That's what I love about this company, their stamps are so versatile!

For this card I have used one of the new Funnybones sentiments that will be available tomorrow night at the start of the hop.  I really liked playing around with all of the papers to make this look like a painting.

Use a sentiment

We have a new challenge going on at the Riley and Company blog.  Joy has challenged us to use a sentiment on our card or project.  I know that most posts around this time are Christmas cards, but seeing as how I have already finished my Christmas cards I think that I will show you something else.

I just loved this sentiment!  Both me and my husband got quite a chuckle of it....hmmm. LOL

Recipe Challenge

Hello!  This is going to be a quick post this morning because I REALLY NEED SOME SLEEP!  Yes, I do type these posts the night before, and I am really tired tonight.  We have been doing craft fairs on the weekend so there is no time to catch up, and with us cooking Thanksgiving dinner, I just was able to squeeze in the shopping tonight....on the way to picking up my son from basketball practice....which went late....

Have I mentioned kids in schools just before holidays are exhausting?

Stephanie had challenged us to make a Riley and Company card with a recipe challenge. I used Carrying Tree Riley from the clear set.  The recipe was:  3 patterned papers, 1 ribbon, and 3 of one type of embellishment.  I finished this card at 10pm Saturday night....sigh...I think I cut a little crooked...

Didn't notice that until I was editing my picture.  Oh snap.

Thanksgiving

Good morning!  Heather has challenged the design team at the Riley and Company Blog to make a card to Give Thanks.  I thought that Wheat Riley would be cute with the new Funnybones sentiment Thanksgiving.  Wheat Riley you can find HERE in the Riley and Company store, and the sentiment can be found HERE. 

I can't believe that it is almost Thanksgiving!  Where has the year gone????  We are into our prime craft fair season, so we are busy a lot of weekends.  Wish us luck!

Monochromatic Pink

Good morning!  It is definitely fall here in the Northeast, and Halloween is just around the corner.  Kerin has challenged us at the Riley and Company blog to make a monochromatic pink card in honor of breast cancer awareness.

Halloween

Hello again!  I can't believe it is already the middle of October!  Where has the time gone?  It is time for another challenge at the Riley and Company blog.  This time Joy has challenged us to make a Halloween card.

I have to say this was a definite challenge for me.  I don't normally make Halloween cards, and don't have very many supplies for them, so I really had to stretch the imagination.  Would you believe that art class at school has helped me???

I work as a para in an elementary school, and go to all the "specials" classes with the group, including art.  A couple of weeks ago the art teacher was instructing the youngsters how to make "spooky" decorations for their scene they were making.  Spider webs being one of them.  

Now don't laugh at my first attempt.....maybe I should have practiced more! LOL

The sentiment I put on is from the latest release at Riley and Company.  It is called Halloween Costume and you can find it HERE at the Riley and Company store.

I'm off to practice more spider webs.....

It's beginning to look a lot like.....FALL

You thought I was going to say Christmas didn't you!?  Nope, officially fall is here with it's cool nights, warm days, and beautiful colors!  So for our challenge at Riley and Company Monica has asked us to make our projects with fall colors.

With my fall colors I have used Tractor Riley that you can find HERE at the Riley and Company Store.

Isn't he cute?  I always think of tractors in the fall because it is harvest time, and there are lots of fairs with tractor pulls!

Off the edge

At the Riley and Company blog this week Kelly is challenging us to go "OFF THE EDGE!"  Thank goodness she didn't say off the deep end, because I'm afraid I am too close this week!  Can we say meetings, meetings, meetings???

For my card I have Baseball Riley and some designer paper to make this fun "off the edge" baseball card.  

The background and the letters came from a designer paper stack called The Athletics Stack from DCWV.  The baseball was also made out of the same paper.  Baseball Riley you can find at the Riley and Company store of course, look HERE!

Hello!  How is the beginning of fall treating everyone?  It has been pretty hectic here with school (work) starting for me and the kids.  We are also trying to finish up our wood pile for the winter, along with baseball and softball still!  Eek!
