My First Mo!

Hello, and happy last day of January!  I wanted to share with you my first foray into Mo world!  Hahahaha!  I have long since admired the many Mo's Manning images, but have never had any to play with, but that has changed!  I picked up this image called Wonderful Day and have had a blast coloring it with my copics!

I have entered this door hanger/tag into the color challenge at Mo's Digital Challenge.  I haven't quite decided what I'm going to use it for though!

I am also entering it into these challenges:

Woodware USA - anything but a card
Paper Playtime - anything goes with a digi

Have a great week!

Another GDT spot at Sketches in Thyme!

Hello again!  I'm happy to say that I have been featured AGAIN at Sketches in Thyme!  Thank you all for the wonderful opportunity I have been given to join this amazing team with some awesome sketches!

Here's the sketch for this week's challenge:

Here's what I made with it:

I have rotated the sketch a bit because I think the scene played out better this way.  I really love pairing these blue colors with my Stampscapes stamps, I think it really makes the images stand out.  Of course who doesn't love the ribbon paired with a Martha Stewart star border punch?!

I have entered this card into the following challenges

My Time to Craft #125 - embossing
Your Next Stamp Challenge #34 - winter scene

Thanks for looking!

Boy's Altered Notebook

Haven't had much time for blogging lately as we have been hounded with snowstorms for a couple of weeks, and with the kids home there is less time to craft and scan the net!  Oh well.  I'm here now!!

This is a notebook I have whipped up for my son to give to his friend as a birthday gift.  Nine years old is a hard age to shop for, so we decided upon a notebook and pen so he can write stories etc.  Hence the 9 on the cover!

I have to say, that my daughter came up with the brilliant idea of the cowboy roping the number.  I absolutely love how it came out!

Papers, ink and stamp set Bronc Buster from Stampin' Up.  I have distressed the background with different shades of brown and carried that over to the pocket.  The number nine is a chipboard piece that I heat embossed with silver.

The tag on the pocket, and the horseshoe star was my first attempt at the faux metal technique I found here.  I love how well it came out, and it was fun!  Clean-up: not so fun.

I have entered this into the following challenges:

Stamp with Fun #95 - blue/brown
Creative Card Crew - for men
CRAFT Challenge #86 - sports
Allsorts Challenge #87 - male/boy
Paper Sundaes - distressing
Cards for men - let's party
Woodware USA - anything goes
Dude Time Doodles - anything but a card

This sentiment is from the Stampin' Up set Wisecracks:

Let's Ink It Up is Back!

I just wanted to say a belated Merry Christmas and Happy New Year to everyone.  I took a much needed break, and just enjoyed my family and the festivities.  Now I'm back and raring to go!

The challenge at Let's Ink It Up this week will be fun and easy, we'd like to see anything!  That's right, anything goes!  Our sponsor this month is  Make it Crafty.  Here's what our sponsor has to say:

Make it Crafty - Think it. Make it. Love it!
Make it Crafty is a dream come true for Zoe who has loved making projects from paper from a young child. Whether it be drawing, making cards, colouring, or her absolute favourite 3D mechanical projects; Zoe is always trying to think about new ideas to play with!
For a number of years Zoe has wanted to share her ideas and love for craft products with you and so Make it Crafty was finally born where she sells some of her favourite products as well as her own range of both digital and rubber stamps.
Zoe only sells products she uses personally so she is always ready to help you where she can. You may also like to stop by the Make it Crafty Blog to see the latest projects, news and tips!

The prize from Make it Crafty is a stamp of your choice, so let's get creating in this new year!

For my project I used the sketch from Tuesday Morning Sketches and made this cutie:

I just loved this turtle from Inky Antics' set Flower Turtle.  The sentiment from that set was so fun so I added that as well.

The funny thing is that it was so sunny when I went outside to take these pics, and then I came in and it started a snow squall!  What a strange winter we are having so far......

I have entered this card into the following challenges:

Kaboodle Doodles - anything goes
Craft Your Passion - anything goes
My Time to Craft - up in the air
Charisma Cardz - birthdays and celebrations
Southern Girls Challenge - anything goes

Have a great weekend!  See you soon!
