Anything goes at Dream Valley!

Hello again and happy almost Halloween!  In our area today is trick-or-treating, so I'm scheduling this as we are getting ready for our company tonight!  My husband and I take our kids, and anyone who wants to join us, around for a hay ride trick or treat!  We fill the trailer with hay and the tractor pulls us around the neighborhood!  Should be a bit chilly this year though with snow already on the ground! lol

Today at Dream Valley we have a simple challenge for you:  ANYTHING GOES!  That's right, easy peasy!  For my card I have used a stamp set called Sweet Birthday Kids from Totally Stampalicious.  I colored him with my copics and cut the image out.  I did a simple backing of blue paper and red mulberry paper.  Isn't he so cute!

I would like to add this card to the following challenges:

Good morning everyone!  Today at The House That Stamps Built we have a sketch challenge for you.  Let's see what you can do with this:

For my card I have gone with a one layer card but still have managed to get in all the elements!  On the right side I have stamped some leaves and colored them different colors with my copics.  I just love how the multicolored leaves turned out!  There are great colors in the fall aren't there?  The pumpkins I stamped on a separate sheet of white and colored and cut them out.

I would like to add this to the following challenges:

Paper Sundaes - Halloween/Fall
Stamptacular Sunday - anything goes
Bows and Berries - color inspiration

Have a great day!

Repeat Impressions - Stamp of the Week

This week at Repeat Impressions the stamp of the week is 2321-G Frankenstein Face.  This was such a fun image to play with!

For my card I have used a black base and stamped the face randomly with white pigment ink.  I colored one face green that I had stamped on white paper and cut it out.  Then I used a green strip of paper from my scrap box and layered another black strip over it with 2314-G Happy Haunting stamped on that.  The green face was adhered with pop dots on the end of the strip.

Make sure you head on over to The House That Stamps Built to see the rest of the awesome DT creations!

TS Monday - Black, Orange, and Purple

It's Totally Stampalicious Monday time again!  This week we are challenging you with a color scheme.  We want to see some black, orange, and purple!  Even though these are Halloween colors, that doesn't mean it has to be a Halloween card!  As you can see with my card I have used Stella Tires and come up with a "nice" card using the color scheme.  Ok, it may be a little naughty instead! lol

Search for all these great Stella stamps and more at the Totally Stampalicious store!  Make sure you head on over to the blog and check out all the lovely DT samples as well!  Have a good week.

Repeat Impression's DCC

This week the lovely Joy has set out our Designer's Choice Challenge at The House that Stamps Built.  Joy is challenging us to make a Halloween/Fall themed card.

I have made a clean and simple card using kraft paper as a base.  I really feel that craft paper is the perfect color for this time of year!  It looks great with all the fall colors, and coordinates well.  I have stamped and colored three Round Pumpkins 2318-G with my copics.  Two are regular, and one I have added  2328-C Happy Face to, to make a jack-o-lantern!  Happy Halloween 2303-G is stamped at the bottom.  To finish the card off I have punched a border.  Check out Repeat Impressions for all of these stamps, and don't forget to look at the Stamp of the Week!

I would like to add this card to the following challenges:

Woodware USA - anything goes

Make sure you head on over to The House that Stamps Built to see all the DT selections, and to play along!

I have used 708-K Rececca, and 8614-D Find Beauty.  I colored Rebecca with my copics and cut her out with some oval cutters.  The two circles and their mats were cut using circle nestabilities.  Pearls and papers are from my stash.

The Crazy Challenge - think pink

Repeat Impressions - Scarecrow and Friends

Hello!  Today we have our Stamp of the Week for Repeat Impressions!  The stamp of the week is available in the store at 50% off for this week only!  Make sure you head over the The House That Stamps Built for all of the info!  This week's featured stamp is called Scarecrow & Friend.

For my card I have used some autumn colored inks and used a direct to paper technique on some glossy white paper.  I then stamped the image over it with black ink.  I made a simple card design using direct to paper technique again on kraft paper and accenting it with a dark brown paper I had in my scrap box.

Have a great day and don't forget to head on over to The House That Stamps Built for all the details on the stamp of the week!

Totally Stampalicious Monday - Embossing

Hello!  Are you feeling Totally Stampalicious today?!  I sure am!  I had a busy weekend at the fair!  Got some ribbons for some entries and ate some great food and now it's off for a busy week!

This week at Totally Stampalicious we want to see some embossing!  Wet or dry, we need to see some!  I have paired my embossing with some Stella of course!  Just can't get enough of her!  This stamp is called Let It Snow Stella, and you can find it in the store here.

I am loving this sheer ribbon!  Totally easy to manipulate and get to lay the way you want it to, while having a bonus of looking great in pictures!

I'd like to add this to the following challenges:

Let's Ink It Up! - think pink
The Ribbon Girls - Christmas

Make sure you check out the other DT cards at Totally Stampalicious!  They are awesome!

Stay tuned later for my first Repeat Impressions post!  Have a great week!

Dream Valley Challenges - Monochrome

Good morning everyone and happy Sunday to you all!  Today at Dream Valley Challenges we are looking for your monochromatic projects!  We have the lovely One Stop Card Crafts as our sponsor today.  The lucky winner will win this:

For my project I have made a brayered scene using my Stampscapes stamps.  I brayered a light blue at the top and bottom and then a dark blue to go over, but not quite cover, the light.  Oh yes!  I punched out a circle first and masked that spot on the paper! duh.  After the brayering I stamped the boater and Crooked Branch overlapping the moon a bit.  I also decided to stamp the Dream sentiment from one of the sentiment packages from Stampscapes.

So here it is:

I'd like to enter this into the following challenges:

One Stop Craft Challenge:  for a man
Sew Many Cards:  anything goes

I hope you join us this fortnight over at Dream Valley!
