SSDS Week 42 - Red, White and Blue

Well it's a Red, White and Blue weekend over at Stamp, Scrap and Doodle Saturdays! We want to see those colors on your creations! My card has these cute teddy bears from the Stampin' Up set Bear Necessities. I colored them with my copics of course! I just love those copics! The card base is a triangular tri-fold card and you can find the instructions here. I'll show you the inside, but I have to admit the picture doesn't really do it justice!

SSDS Week 41 - Sketch

Happy Saturday everyone! It has been busy, busy, busy here! I hope everyone is doing well on this fine day! We certainly are at Stamp, Scrap and Doodle Saturdays! We have a sketch for all you crafters out there to play with:

Here's what I made with the sketch. I used Pollycraft image Clover Dancing with Dragonflies. Isn't she just cute?!

I colored her with my copics, and added some glitter to the all the sets of wings. The Believe sentiment and the mushrooms I used on the pink background paper is from a Stampin' Up set called Dreams and Dragons. I also used some patterned paper and ribbon from my stash. I also punched out some dragonflies and popped them up so they could "fly" up the sides!

I also entered this card into the Alphabet Challenge (D is for dragonflies), and Practical Scrapers (patterned paper).

Keeping Cool

Wow! I have been away from blogland for 3 days and it feels like a lifetime! Things have been very hectic around here with only the promise of more. However, I snuck in a quick cardmaking this morning!

I made this card for 3 challenges: The House that Stamps Built - sketch, Tellen's Place - Beach, and Color Throwdown - use pink pirouette, melon mambo and baja breeze. Well I didn't have baja breeze so I substituted in bermuda bay, and I just love how these colors turned out! The image is from House Mouse called Keeping Cool. Funny, this is all about the hot weather, but looking out the window it is in the 50's and raining here!

I hope everyone enjoys their week and I will hopefully be back on Saturday with another dt project for Stamp, Scrap and Doodle!
