Buttons, buttons, buttons!

Good morning crafters!  Today at Dream Valley we have a new challenge!  We would like to see buttons on your creations!  Our challenge is sponsored by Freckled Fawn!  One lucky winner will receive a $20 Gift certificate to their online store!

For my project I have made a flower pot card!  The directions for this card can be found HERE on Splitcoaststampers.

The solid color paper is from my stash, but I believe it is all from Stampin' Up.  The patterned paper is from K&Company and the buttons are from my mom!  Thanks Mom!

I would like to add this card to the following challenges:
Delicious Doodles - shaped cards

Don't forget to play in our challenge at Dream Valley!  I can't wait to see your button creations!

Paper Piecing at Totally Stampalicious

It's a Totally Stampalicious Monday!  I for one am enjoying the beautiful weather we are having here in New Hampshire!

We have another challenge today!  This week we would love to see some paper piecing on your cards!  Make sure you link up your card for a chance to win a prize!

Surprise, surprise I have made another clean and simple card!  I stamped Scarlette Cupcake that you can find HERE at the Totally Stampalicious Store.  I have paper pieced the cupcake frosting and wrapper.  I was excited to use some of my new twine from Close to My Heart and really like how it looks with the buttons!

I would like to add this card to the following challenges:

Allsorts Challenge - buttons and thread
Crafty Emma's - paper piece it

Have a great day!

Texturize!

Hello and good morning to you all!  It's a Totally Stampalicious Monday, time for a challenge!  We would like you to add some texture to your cards or projects.

For my card I have used buttons and dry embossing for my texture.  The image and sentiment are from a Totally Stampalicious set called Storybook Elizabeth.  I colored her with my copics, traced around her with a light gray and then cut her out.

Don't forget Totally Stampalicious still has the promotion going on where the more you buy the more free stamps you get!

I would like to add this to the following challenges:

Sew Many Challenges - buttons+blog hop
One Stitch at a Time - Anything goes

Also be sure to join us this coming Thursday February 16th at 9pm EST for our New Release Blog Hop!  Totally Stampalicious will be releasing four brand new sets!

Flowers, Buttons...and Sewing?

Well everyone, I've gone and done it. I dug out the sewing machine so I could sew a card. I've been putting this off even though I have admired other peoples' sewn creations from afar. Now I'm afraid I'm hooked. This first attempt has a few slipped stitches, but I'm sure with more practice I will be much better at it!

I used a designer paper from Webster's Pages called Your Life Beautiful, confetti cream cardstock, and an olive green strip from my scrap box. I put the "scene" through the Big Shot with the scalloped circle Nestabilities. I then brayered the sky and the ground before stamping the stems and adding the flower buttons. Before I attached the flower scene I did a straight stitch around the dp and a zig-zag stitch to attach the green. All in all, not a bad first try!

I entered this card into the following challenges:

Flourishes Timeless Tuesday - bought it, use it (just bought the dp on monday couldn't wait to get at it!)
